Stamp Carving + Block Printing Saturday, May 31st 10:30 am-12:30 pm

This workshop is a part of Camp Creative! The works of artist Hokusai are coming to downtown Lisle! An 18th-19th century Japanese artist, one of his mediums was wood block carving to create beautiful works of art. We'll explore the basics of carving in this workshop with rubber stamps (which is a much easier medium to work with than wood blocks!) and to not only create your own stamp to take home with your design of choice, but learn how to print note cards and other materials. Afterwards, visit Downtown Lisle to see the Hokusai exhibit!

Workshops are hosted at 1101 Maple Avenue Suite A, Lisle, IL 60532 unless otherwise noted.

We are located on the south side of the street corner on Maples Avenue and Lenox Avenue in a red brick building in the front half of Angel Food Catering between Dunkin' Donuts and the Cleaners. Across the street is Maple Terrace shopping complex with Walgreens and Starbucks.

Parking is located in the rear of the building and street-side parking is allowed on Lenox Avenue.
